How can you find out if a company is legit?

i have a modeling agengy that has accepted my daughter to model for them. first she has to take cles for 6 month and i have to pay 2000.00 for it but i have heard some people say its good and others say its a scam.. how do i find a way to go find out. they picked her off an interview and her photo on a sunday, hired her on a monday and needed all the stuff by tuesday.. and they were some fast talkers and mover. any advice..
