How to prevent big sc from scarring and help it heal fast!?

So here's the gist: I was playing capture the flag at camp in the woods in the middle of a bunch of trees. I'm SUPER accident prone. You can guess what happened--i was chasing the person with our flag and tripped, fell and got a HUGE ( LIKE 7 INCHES) SC DOWN MY NECK AND CHEST! i know, its the worst place too. so ive been putting neosporin on it and it seems to be healing, but im terrified that in a month or so there'll be a huge pink line there--and umm well let's just say id rather not have that. soooo any suggestions for preventing/getting rid of scars? and possibly how to speed up the healing process?? thanks so much in advance for any advice. :)
