Can someone explain the health care bill to me?

First, many of the details haven't been worked out and the plan's major parts will not come into effect until 2014. The plan will cover 32 million uninsured by first expanding medicare coverage to all those up to 133% of federal poverty and second by giving subsidies to everyone up to 400% of federal poverty. For some perspective, for a family of three, 400% is over $70,000. A vast majority of those currently uninsured would receive a subsidy or medicare. They are also putting limits on insurance plans that will make them more affordable, such as requiring there to be no co-pay for preventative care.
