Army brags about having their own air support with only having choppers, so, what if a company of infantry....

soldiers needs air support right away and their location is about 75 miles from a nearest chopper? fast movers are a nescessity for CAS and i believe choppers are easy targets for anti-air weapons. im not knocking choppers but the army should be thankful for the air force. my question is, why army depends more on choppers than on fast movers? how it benefits them tactically?
